How it all came about...

Cessna Pilots Magazine featured writer, Mike Jones, attended our Fall Fly In 2021. He attended the event unplanned from our understanding. He was at an another event in the Raleigh area when he heard chatter about a grass strip called "Lake Ridge" and the "grass roots" event going on here. When Mike arrived it was prime time here at Lake Ridge on Saturday of our weekend Fly in. Both of us were running around directing airplanes and managing the event. After a quick introduction and our blessing for Mike to do his thing, we had no idea how great of a job he would portray our pride in owning Lake Ridge Aero Park. We were so busy we hardly spoke to him but that didn't stop him. Mike interview countless people to gather information to write this spectacular article. It truly is a family affair and it would not be possible without the support of our family, friends, countless volunteers and members at Lake Ridge Aero Park.
